Precious Day!
Good morning to the World and Kanmon!
It was very clear here on Friday. We even felt a little hot and humid in the afternoon.
Manager believes that we will be in rainy season “TSUYU” today or tomorrow.
To utilize precious sunshine, we were busy putting our Futons in the sun and washing our blankets.
On such Friday, we heard that the town in the other side of strait, Shimoseki, had planned to hold Olympic torch relay event.
However they decided to cancel it all in sudden.
City of Shimonoseki is the electoral zone of former prime minister Shinzo Abe, who invited the Olympic game to Tokyo and cosplay Super Mario at the final ceremony of Rio Olympic to introduce the next venue. His supporters’ association and local celebrity may shame at themselves who had attended “Sakura Viewing Party” at Shinjuku Park, Tokyo which had been held by misappropriating public money.
The torch runners selected in advance must be disappointed on the sudden cancellation and no substitute event for them.
They must feel more frustrated with seeing clear sky.
(The kids on the Hikoshima island, the other side of this guesthouse, who were planning to play dance and drums at the ceremony, must be disappointed very much.)
Hiroshima will be also under state of emergency on Monday, and Yamaguchi will be sandwiched between two prefectures under state of emergency, Fukuoka and Hiroshima. The area expansion of the state seems to be in line with the torch relay.

貴重な一日！
世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。
金曜日の関門エリアは気持ちよく晴れ上がりました。
午後にはすこし蒸し暑く感じるぐらいに。
宿主は今日明日のうちに梅雨入りすると確信しています。
なので貴重な陽の光を活用して、布団干しはもちろん、ブランケットを洗濯したり忙しく過ごしました。
そんな金曜日、ここから見える海峡の対岸では、本来ならわが町に引き続いて聖火リレーが開催される予定だと聞いていましたが、、、
急遽、取りやめになったそうです。
その五輪を誘致し、先のオリンピックではゲームのキャラクターに扮してまで、おもてなしをアピールした前首相のお膝元です。
突然の中止はその後援会をはじめ、地元の有志がこぞって新宿で公金で盛り上がった例の１件のことを申し訳なく思ったからでしょうか？
走ることが決まっていたランナーにとって、突然の中止で代替イベントもないのはさぞかし残念だろうと思います。
きっと好天にも恨めしさを感じることでしょう。
（イベントで平家踊りを披露する予定だったすぐ対岸の彦島の子どもたちも残念だったでしょう。）
山口県は向こう隣の広島県でも緊急事態宣言が発令されるようで、どうも聖火リレーに合わせて宣言対象地域が広がっているようです。悔しさを感じる人もさらに拡大することでしょう。
