Caution for residents, guests and hosts!
Good morning to the World and Kanmon!
It seems that we cannot stop accelerating infection spread in Japan.
Under this situation, we saw latest report on TV about new cases of infection.
It was reported that people were infected at restaurant in their company.
Even out of doors, people got infected during BBQ party.
The most remarkable case is the infection in Share Houses!

Share houses in Japan are managed under similar system as guesthouses. I personally regard Share House for long term stay and Guesthouse for short term stay. Actually, there are not a few guesthouses manage Share house in same buildings.
The disappointing thing is the report about infection at shared space (communicating space) which is the biggest merit of both Share houses and Guesthouses.
As we could imagine such infection can be happen, we abandoned guests’ opportunity of communication with other guests and our profitability, and have served “limited to one group per day” staying plan, considering infection prevention and safety as first priority.
As we cannot know who is infected, not only host, but also guests/users should think about new style of traveling / staying.

ゲストも宿泊業者も要注意！
世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。
日本でも新型コロナウイルス、第三波の勢いが止まりません。
そんな状況下、今週のニュースでとても気になる感染ケースが報告されていました。
社員食堂や、屋外でのバーベキューでも感染の事例がみつかったようです。
さらに注目すべきは『シェアハウスでの感染』！

シェアハウスと言えば、ゲストハウスと非常に似かよったスタイルで運営されており、自分などは利用者が長期であればシェアハウス、短期であればゲストハウスと考えているぐらいです。施設の中には二通りを同じ建物で運営しているところも少なくありません。
残念なのは、シェアハウス・ゲストハウスの両方のメリットでもある「共用スペース＝交流の場」での感染が確認されたことです。
「灯火」ではすでにこうしたリスクを想定し、醍醐味でもあるゲスト間の交流や採算性を諦めて、感染予防・安全第一を最優先に「一日一組限定」で施設運営しています。
感染状況を通して感じるのは「どこに感染者がいてもおかしくない」状況です。新しい宿泊様式について、宿泊業者はもちろんのこと、ゲストもまた考える時期なのかもしれません。
