Fire again?!

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

When we watched calm night view of this strait from this guesthouse,

suddenly west sky got bright red.

We wondered if there was fire again.

No, no, please do not worry.

It is scenery and streets unique to the industrial city, Kitakyushu.
(Interestingly, from this guesthouse, we can see Kitakyushu behind Shimonoseki (Hikoshima).)

Thank you and you have a nice day, be conscious of a feeling that we will never have fire here.

いえいえ、工業都市 北九州ならではの夜景です。
（面白いことにココ（灯火）からは下関（彦島）の向こうの北九州が見えるんです。）

When the typhoon comes

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

The typhoon Songda left Japan, it was windy whole day Saturday.

On such day, we recommend to go to the direction which ordinary people don’t head to.

In this prefecture Fukuoka, most people who like beaches visit the sea of Japan.

But if you make a special point of avoiding that direction, you can also avoid crowd of people even in the weekend.

Around this guesthouse TOUKA, we have not a few unexpected good spots.

台風が来たら

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

台風5号は逸れましたが、風の強い週末です。

そんな時には、敢えて人が行かない方角へ。

ここ福岡では、夏の週末は日本海側に行く人が少なくありませんが、

敢えてそちらに行かなければ、週末でも人ごみを回避することが可能です。

My new favorite!

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

Resent sudden Infection spread all over Japan disturbed myself to share local information.

So I make myself stay calm and try to introduce

my latest favorite spot.

It looks like building in retro district in Mojiko and someone may think so.

However it is not in Mojiko.

I have driven in front of the building and been interested in the building. I recently learned that it is the facility I love.

The facility is …

the Library. Furthermore, it is the public library of this city.

I heard that the building was used used as the city hall long time ago and renovated later.

Additionally, it got anti-earthquake reinforcement construction without losing its functional beauty and it became what it looks like now.

Though low quality of their books and magazines is only fault but I rank it in the best spots to avoid this hot summer.

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

このところの感染急拡大に気を取られてしまい、本来シェアしようと考えていた情報が棚上げされてしまいました。

というわけで、気を取り直してご紹介します。

最近のお気に入りスポットです。

その佇まいから、門司港レトロ？と思われる方もあるかと思いますが、、、

門司港ではありませんよ。

以前から、前を通るたびに気になっていた建物ですが、自分が好む施設であることを知ったのは意外と最近です。

その施設とは、、、

図書館！それも市営の公共図書館です。

その昔、市庁舎だった建物がリノベされたものだそうです。

その後の耐震工事も美観を損なうことなくうまく施され、今の姿となっているようです。

雑誌を含む蔵書がイマイチなのが玉にキズですが、この夏の良い避暑スポットにランクインしました。
