Those who believe shall be saved!
Good morning to the World and Kanmon!
Here in the Kanmon area, the weather is fine and we are seeing a succession of scorching hot days…
However, it seems there are still regions in Japan – including the Kanto area – where TSUYU (rainy season) has not yet ended.
In such an area, there are likely people who would be in a bind if it rained tomorrow, so we’d like to share a somewhat surprising episode.
A couple stayed at this guesthouse right in the middle of the rainy season…
Worried that rain might spoil the trip they were looking forward to, they did some research and discovered an interesting Japanese custom…
It turns out they made this adorable little thing before setting off on their journey.
Then, although it did rain, they managed to avoid getting caught in it only while they were actually out,
and they were able to complete their itinerary without a hitch!
We were truly surprised by this.
Thank you and you have a nice day sometimes, by trying to believe in old custom.

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。 おはようございます。
ここ関門エリアでは天気も良く、暑い暑い日が続いていますが、、、
まだ関東地方をはじめ、日本では梅雨明けはまだだという地域もあるようです。
そんな地域で、明日雨が降っては困る方もいらっしゃると思うので、ちょっと驚いたエピソードを。
梅雨の最中に当宿を利用されたカップルゲストさん、、、
楽しみにしていた旅行が雨になると困ると、色々調べたら日本には面白い習わしがあると知ったようで、、、
旅行出発前に可愛らしいコレ作ってきたそうです。
すると、雨は降るものの、彼らが出かける間だけは雨に降られることなく、
無事に旅程を終了できたんです！
これにはほんとに驚きました。
それでは、時には古い習わしを信じてみて素敵な一日を！
