Japan’s public broadcaster is currently airing a drama series set in this town.
To be precise, though, tonight’s episode is apparently the finale, so it might be more accurate to say they *have been* airing it.

The thing is, the drama is incredibly lame.
I watch it—albeit reluctantly—because it focuses on my local area, but the story and the script are both lackluster; I end up spending my Tuesday nights regretting having watched it.
(This drama project might be relying on the existing popularity of the male idol starring in it.)

However… there was just one thing in that drama that I could really relate to.
It was the “spirit of hospitality” shown by the convenience store manager—the drama’s protagonist!
While this guesthouse certainly doesn’t try to woo guests with allure, we can appreciate the genuine commitment to cherishing each individual customer/guest.
Furthermore, regarding the filming locations—judging by the drama, it appears that shooting took place right near this guesthouse. Should any fans of the lead idol visit for a “pilgrimage” to these sites, we would be able to offer detailed advice on the specific locations.
Based on our experience so far, it seems that guests are more enthusiastic about making pilgrimages to filming locations for so-called “B-grade” dramas than for smash-hit series; this suggests there may show potential in this area for the future.

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。 おはようございます。
今、日本の公共放送がこの町を舞台にした連続ドラマを放映しています。

正確に言うと、今夜の放送分が最終回らしいので、していた、という方が正確かもしれません。
で、そのドラマが非常にくだらないんです。
地元がフォーカスされているので、一応見ているのですが、ストーリーも本もイマイチで、毎回見終わった後に後悔が残る火曜の夜を過ごしています。
（主役で一人二役の男性アイドルが元々持っている人気頼みでいくドラマ企画なのかもしれません。）
ただ、、、そんなドラマにもひとつだけ共感するものがあったんです。
それは、主役演じるコンビニ店長の「おもてなしの心」！
当宿では、決して色気でゲストに迫ることはありませんが、お客ひとり一人を心から大切にするという姿勢だけは「良」として見終わることができそうです。
くわえて、ロケ地、、、本編を見ていると当宿のすぐそばでも撮影が行われたようで、もし主役アイドルのファンの方が聖地巡礼にいらっしゃることがあれば、その撮影場所について細かくアドバイスできそうです。
これまでの当宿の経験からいえば、人気を博したドラマよりも、傍目にはB級ドラマの方が熱心に聖地巡礼しにくるゲストがいらっしゃるようなので今後期待できるかもしれません。
