Fireworks in winter!
Good morning to the World and Kanmon!
Unfortunately, fireworks on Christmas is not scheduled this year, but it seems that Count Down fireworks are still on schedule at Mojiko Retro area, if weather will be OK on new year’s eve.
The fireworks are the event which I could not imagine in my childhood but I really feels that it is very nice to have such event in my hometown. In addition to the fireworks, we can hear the horns from various ships running through the strait. That is the great custom as a port town.
I don’t think there are many places in Japan where we can have wonderful event like this.
(Not like Tokyo and Yokohama, we don’t need to worry about too many people at the new year event. That is the great thing too.)

冬の花火！
世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。
残念ながら、クリスマスの花火は開催されないようですが、大晦日のカウントダウン花火は天候さえ問題なければ、開催されるようです。
自分が子供の頃には考えられなかったイベントですが、港町で新年を祝う花火が上がることはとても素敵な変化だと思います。時報と同時に鳴り響く船の汽笛も港町ならではのうれしい慣習です。
こうしたイベントを体験できる町は多くはないと思います。
（都会とは異なり、人の混み具合もそれほどでもなくて、それもまた有り難いイベントです。）
それでは、どうぞ新しい年をどこで誰と迎えるか考えてみる素敵な一日を！
