There were two famous SAMURAI in the history of Japan.
Their names are MUSASHI and KOJIRO.
They fought each other, April 13th, 1612 at Ganryujima island in Kanmon Straits.
Musashi-Kojiro Festival was held today, the closest Sunday to April 13th.
Live Samurai performances were demonstrated in the Tamukeyama Park.
One on one male match, battle of Samurai girls and Samurai Kids, various Samurai fightings were performed there.
It was so exciting, and Samurai fun cannot miss the event.

「武蔵小次郎まつり」
巌流島の決闘があった4月13日に一番近い日曜日にあたる今日、二人の戦いを記念して「武蔵小次郎まつり」が手向山公園で開催されました。
真剣勝負と見まがうほどの迫力ある居合いのデモンストレーションや、小中学生の剣道大会等、歴史的な決闘に捧げる奉納イベントが盛りだくさん。
地元で開催される小規模なお祭りにも関わらず、参加者の真剣に取り組む姿勢を見ていると、剣道ファン・サムライファンなら一度は見ておいて損はない地方イベントだと感じました。
